We are a small team of highly experienced marketing professionals, and we have developed extensive contacts with international travel and media specialists. Over the last 10 years we have been responsible for the international positioning and branding of many leading hotels and lodges in Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean.

Suzanne Bayly-Coupe has been involved with the marketing of luxury hotels and safari lodges since 1996 when she launched Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve. She has an undergraduate degree in International Politics and Economics and a postgraduate degree in Marketing (University of Cape Town). Her strengths are in generating new business, and in identifying international opportunities for luxury brands and unique experience providers. Suzanne heads up the Edinburgh office and is responsible for the overall management of the Classics portfolio. She is the account manager for all clients outside South Africa, the Relais & Chateaux portfolio and Singita. She attends the international trade shows and undertakes sales and marketing in the UK and Europe with key agents and media.

Caroline Bayly is passionate about Africa and has a wealth of knowledge on luxury experiences and safaris in Southern Africa. She studied Business Commerce (University of Stellenbosch), and has been responsible for the representation and international positioning of the Classics portfolio for the last 10 years. Caroline heads up the Johannesburg office and regularly inspects the properties in our portfolio ensuring we are up to speed on all developments. She is responsible for the management of the South African Classic Retreats clients and undertakes all sales and marketing in the USA.

Saskia Brown joined the Edinburgh office after relocating to the UK from Cape Town. Prior to that she was the marketing manager at Cape Grace in Cape Town for 6 years. Saskia has a Business Commerce degree in Tourism Management, an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French and a Masters degree in Business Administration (University of Cape Town). She has a passion for travel and languages and is responsible for the management of new clients, international media and editorial exposure, as well as writing and designing the monthly e-mail newsletters and communications. Saskia heads up Classic Vision, our bespoke marketing services which offer tailor-made marketing solutions for individual clients.

Joanne Haw joined the Edinburgh office after completing an undergraduate degree in Biology, Earth and Environmental Science and a postgraduate degree in Marketing (University of Cape Town). As the Classic Retreats account manager, Joanne is responsible for managing key information for the Secure Site on behalf of the individual clients. She is also proactively involved in office based marketing and assisting Suzanne with managing sales and marketing activities in the UK and Europe. Joanne manages the individual agent educationals and attends agent workshops and trade shows in the UK and Europe.

Franck Deroche hails from France and has lived in South Africa for 5 years. From a very young age he has had a passion for travel which has taken him to exotic destinations around the world. Franck has a Master's degree in Human Geography and Social Development, specialising in Responsible Tourism (University of La Sorbonne Paris I). He joined the Johannesburg office in September 2009 with excellent media as well as embassy contacts. Franck is responsible for inbound tour operators in South Africa, travel agents, media and corporate contacts.
